Well, I am another year older. It was fun though. My parents came up here to Wisconsin to celebrate my birthday as well as my granddaughter Vanna and my mom's birthday on Sunday.

I got Van a fishing rod and tacklebox for her birthday. No, she really wanted one, honest. I helped her fish at a party for her sister's little league team last fall and Van fell in love with fishing. She has been asking for a rod and box since then so the finally got her wish. We spent most of our birthday out at a lake here in Milwaukee fishing and having a blast. The "quality time" was worth every dollar the rod cost me We regrouped and headed out for dinner with my mom and dad. In all, another year older, but it was enjoyable.

On Friday, me and Van headed out to The Potter in Waukesha. They do "Rake in the Street" every other Friday. Vanna has been interested in pottery and ceramics since she was 5. The event was held out in the street during a "Family Night Out" sort of street party in Waukesha. Van got to make a vase on a wheel and we both picked up pre-made pots and glazed them and had them fired raku style right there in the street.
